Under the patronage of Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, the tournament aligns with the vision laid out by Sheikha Fatima bint Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan. It focuses on enhancing women's involvement in mind sports and fortifying the prominence of chess in women’s competitions.

Utilizing the Swiss system format, the competition will consist of nine exhilarating rounds. Anticipated participants include skilled players from various countries and of different age groups, fostering a competitive yet diverse atmosphere. The overall prize pool is set at AED 40,000, complemented by special accolades for high achievers across distinct categories.

Abdullah Al Tamimi, a representative from the academy, emphasized that the tournament encapsulates the academy's aim to nurture chess and amplify its impact within ladies sports. He noted such events enhance the UAE and Abu Dhabi's status as prominent global hubs for international sports.

Furthermore, he remarked that these competitions afford players the opportunity to refine their skills, acquire international exposure, and compete at the highest levels. The initiative also aligns with broader goals of empowering women, encouraging family involvement, and supporting People of Determination.

Al Tamimi also pointed out the crucial role of strong collaborations with partner organizations in the success of these events, which help elevate organizational standards and widen the reach of the academy's initiatives.
