The International Boxing Association (IBA) has confirmed that Dubai will be the host city for the 2025 IBA Men’s Elite World Championships, scheduled to take place from December 2 to December 13 at the renowned Tennis Stadium. This championship is part of an exciting two-week Festival of Boxing that will draw in elite competitors from around the globe.

Participants from diverse nations will vie for championship titles and a staggering $8 million in prize money, marking this as the most lucrative tournament in boxing's history. Winners in each category will receive $300,000, with $150,000 for second place, $75,000 for third place, and $10,000 allotted for fifth place. The earnings will be distributed with 50% awarded to the boxer, 25% to their coach, and 25% to their National Federation, emphasizing the collaborative nature of the sport.

According to IBA President Umar Kremlev, this prize structure reflects the organization’s dedication to both top-tier and grassroots boxing. “This World Championships is not solely about the rewards; it honors the commitment of every boxer, coach, and federation who has contributed to the sport,” he stated. The event aligns with the IBA’s aim of fostering excellence while promoting and safeguarding boxing globally.

The 2025 IBA Men’s Elite World Championships will transform Dubai into a central hub for boxing this December. Competitors will represent their nations, showcasing their skill, tenacity, and sportsmanship. More than just a contest, the festival aims to celebrate the culture and values of boxing, blending competitive matches with engaging fan experiences, exhibitions, and cultural showcases.

With a legacy spanning over 75 years, the IBA has nurtured some of the world's top boxers. This championship further advances that legacy by bringing together leading boxing nations and creating an international stage for the sport. The festival will also feature the IBA Global Boxing Forum, an elite IBA Pro Event, and the IBA Congress, ensuring a comprehensive experience for athletes, officials, and enthusiasts alike.

Chris Roberts OBE, Secretary General & CEO of IBA, remarked, “The IBA Men’s Elite World Championships in Dubai is more than just a contest; it is a worldwide celebration of boxing that encapsulates skill, culture, and unity. This event will showcase the essence of our sport.”

Fans attending the Festival of Boxing in Dubai can look forward to live matches, athlete meet-and-greets, and unique cultural experiences. This initiative highlights the IBA’s ambition to make boxing a sport that bridges political divides and is accessible to all nations. The 2025 event promises unparalleled competition, spectacular performances, and ample opportunities for every participant to showcase their talent on the global stage.
