The International Boxing Association (IBA) has confirmed that Dubai will be the host city for the 2025 IBA Men’s Elite World Championships, scheduled to take place from December 2 to December 13 at the renowned Tennis Stadium. This championship is part of an exciting two-week Festival of Boxing that will draw in elite competitors from around the globe.
Participants from diverse nations will vie for championship titles and a staggering $8 million in prize money, marking this as the most lucrative tournament in boxing's history. Winners in each category will receive $300,000, with $150,000 for second place, $75,000 for third place, and $10,000 allotted for fifth place. The earnings will be distributed with 50% awarded to the boxer, 25% to their coach, and 25% to their National Federation, emphasizing the collaborative nature of the sport.
According to IBA President Umar Kremlev, this prize structure reflects the organization’s dedication to both top-tier and grassroots boxing. “This World Championships is not solely about the rewards; it honors the commitment of every boxer, coach, and federation who has contributed to the sport,” he stated. The event aligns with the IBA’s aim of fostering excellence while promoting and safeguarding boxing globally.
The 2025 IBA Men’s Elite World Championships will transform Dubai into a central hub for boxing this December. Competitors will represent their nations, showcasing their skill, tenacity, and sportsmanship.
