Abu Dhabi, UAE – The enchanting universe of anime will once again light up Manarat Al Saadiyat as the second edition of Animenia takes place from February 11 to 15, 2026, offering five immersive days of anime, music, gaming, and cultural festivities.
This year, following the triumph of its inaugural event, Animenia aims to whisk attendees away to Neo-Tokyo, providing an exhilarating experience that melds creativity, tech, and nostalgia. Festival-goers can expect beloved anime realms to come alive through grand scene recreations, gaming stations, and live showcases celebrating Japanese pop culture.
With an array of activities such as J-Pop shows, Anisong performances, themed food stalls, and shopping areas, Animenia 2026 seeks to engage both seasoned anime enthusiasts and casual fans. A centerpiece of the festival is the prestigious cosplay contest, welcoming worldwide contestants to demonstrate their talent and ingenuity. Featuring a remarkable AED400,000 prize pool, the competition will recognize victors across various categories such as Best in Craftsmanship, Best in Performance, and Animenia’s Spark Award.
