Ananya Panday, the Bollywood actor, was among the guests at her friend Deeya Shroff’s mehendi celebration held ahead of Deeya’s wedding to Mihir Advani. Panday posted images from the gathering which promptly attracted attention online for her traditional ensemble.
In the photographs, Panday wears a black lehenga detailed with delicate motifs, paired with a mustard high-neck blouse. She accessorised the outfit with gold and green jewellery, kept her makeup minimal and styled her hair in a tidy braid, resulting in a composed and refined appearance.
In her caption, Panday noted she was attending the ceremony from the bride’s side. Social media responses were largely positive, with followers commending both her sartorial choice and the celebratory atmosphere captured in the images.
At Deeya’s engagement last year, Panday appeared in an aqua-blue ensemble by Rohit Bal that she revealed belonged to her mother, underscoring the personal ties and emotional resonance surrounding her friend’s nuptial events.
Mehendi rituals remain a central element of Indian wedding customs, marked by music, family gatherings and traditional observances. Observers noted that Panday’s presence and careful outfit selection complemented the cultural tone of the occasion.
On the professional front, Panday has two notable films lined up. Tu Meri Main Tera, co-starring Kartik Aaryan, is scheduled for release on December 25; producer Karan Johar has described the film as emotionally driven and praised the on-screen pairing. She is also set to feature in Chand Mera Dil alongside actor Lakshya.
Beyond her screen roles, Panday is recognised for influencing contemporary Indian fashion. Her appearance at the mehendi reiterated her capacity to present traditional attire with confidence and understated elegance.
