Amruta Fadnavis Addresses Outfit Criticism at Beach Cleanup

Post by : Saif Nasser

Amruta Fadnavis, the spouse of Maharashtra's Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, recently opened up about facing online trolling regarding her outfit. During an appearance on Curly Tales’ YouTube channel on November 9, she reflected on the backlash she received for her attire at a beach cleanup event in Mumbai.

This cleanup effort was organized at Juhu Beach following the Ganesh Visarjan festival, known as Sea Shore Shine 2025, with the aim of removing litter and raising awareness about beach cleanliness. Amruta participated alongside actor Akshay Kumar, local volunteers, and environmental organizations.

Despite the noble cause, numerous social media users zeroed in on her choice of clothing rather than the event's significance. She donned a beige co-ord set that some deemed overly fitted for the occasion, distracting observers from the cleanup efforts.

When questioned about her emotions regarding the criticism, Amruta acknowledged having faced trolling in the past. Although she felt disheartened not by the comments on her outfit but by the diversion from the cause, she reaffirmed the importance of the initiative aimed at advocating for proper waste management and environmental awareness.

Amruta stressed that actions matter far more than appearances. She hopes the spotlight will remain on the efforts made for the campaign and the positive outcomes it seeks to achieve. Though she initially found the comments troubling, she resolved to stay focused and carry on with her mission undeterred.

Amruta noted that while criticism is inevitable, loyalty to one’s goals is paramount. She strongly believes that dedication and persistence ultimately outweigh negative commentary.

This scenario highlights a broader societal issue, illustrating how public figures, particularly women, are often subjected to scrutiny over their appearance rather than their contributions. Amruta’s response serves as a reminder of the importance of redefining the narrative to spotlight authentic efforts for positive change.
