The AlUla Governorate will serve as the venue for the Saudi Arabian Olympic and Paralympic Committee Endurance Cup on Saturday at AlFursan Equestrian Village. This prestigious event will feature 200 riders of both genders representing 12 nations.
Organized by the Royal Commission for AlUla alongside the Saudi Arabian Equestrian Federation, the competition includes a primary 120-kilometer race (CEI2*) segmented into four stages, an international 100-kilometer race (CEI1*), and two local races spanning 40 and 80 kilometers respectively.
On Friday, all participating horses will undergo veterinary inspections, and a briefing for riders will cover race regulations and protocols. The actual races will officially commence at dawn on Saturday.
AlUla's endurance racing is acclaimed globally for its superb organization, stunning natural landscapes, and rich historical ties to equestrianism.
This event draws elite riders from around the world, allowing them to put their skills to the test on challenging courses while soaking in AlUla's spectacular scenery.
With various race categories, the Endurance Cup not only highlights athletic prowess but also fosters international equestrian collaboration and cultural exchange among participating nations.
