Post by : Mina Rahman

International music icon Akon arrived in Delhi on Sunday, November 9, ahead of his eagerly awaited concert slated for the evening. He was joined by his wife, Tomeka Thiam, and their team. Despite circulating rumors regarding marital discord, the couple seemed in good spirits as they interacted with the press at the airport.

A Stylish Arrival at Delhi Airport

Akon and Tomeka showcased a cohesive fashion choice in matching black outfits. The artist donned a relaxed black hoodie with jeans, while Tomeka appeared elegant in an all-black attire. They shared smiles with photographers, with Akon enthusiastically looking forward to his performance in India once again.

This public display comes on the heels of reports indicating that Tomeka filed for divorce in September. Legal papers reportedly mentioned their separation date as "to be determined," rendering their joint appearance significant.

Delhi Gears Up for Akon’s Exciting Show

The Delhi stop of Akon’s Indian tour is expected to attract nearly 10,000 fans from throughout the National Capital Region. The concert, scheduled from 5 PM to 10 PM at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, will celebrate some of Akon’s greatest hits.

Authorities have instituted special traffic regulations near the venue to facilitate smooth transport. Restrictions will be enacted from 4 PM to 11 PM, including a ban on heavy vehicles along the path from JLN Stadium Red Light to B.P. Marg.

After his Delhi concert, Akon will proceed with his India tour, performing next in Bengaluru on November 14, followed by a show in Mumbai on November 16, bringing his exhilarating music to fans across the nation.
