Post by : Bianca Suleiman

The Business Groups focused on the education sector at the Ajman Chamber have underscored a crucial initiative to enhance teachers' expertise through training in cutting-edge technologies including artificial intelligence (AI), robotics, and digital learning tools. This proactive measure is designed to adapt to the swift transformations ongoing in the education landscape and to elevate overall educational outcomes.

This initiative was unveiled during a collaborative meeting at the Ajman Chamber's headquarters, which was led by Dr. Kareem Al Saghir, Chairman of the Education Sector Business Groups and Director of Ajman University. The gathering attracted senior figures such as Salem Al Suwaidi, the Director General of Ajman Chamber, alongside other significant representatives from the education community.

The agenda centered around enhancing the learning environment and bolstering collaboration between educational institutions. Officials reiterated the critical nature of sharing knowledge, refining teacher licensing systems, and embedding AI and future-ready competencies into the educational framework.

Dr. Kareem Al Saghir remarked on the pivotal role that the Education Sector Business Groups play in upgrading educational quality to match job market requirements. He noted that enhancing education is a fundamental component of Ajman Vision 2030, as it furthers sustainable development and facilitates the creation of a knowledge-based economy.

Participants accentuated the necessity for ongoing teacher training employing advanced technologies like AI and robotics, revealing that integrating modern methodologies can significantly bolster effectiveness and inspire innovation in educational settings.

The discussions also encompassed upgrading teacher licensing policies and attracting talented educators through partnerships with relevant authorities. The rising prevalence of distinguished schools and universities in Ajman was noted as a competitive edge that could elevate the sector further.

Moreover, officials highlighted educational institutions' vital role in equipping students for higher learning. They proposed facilitating workshops and advisory sessions to aid students in making informed career choices aligned with their abilities and market needs.

Concluding the meeting, participants called for establishing a collaborative working group tasked with pinpointing challenges within the educational realm and crafting feasible solutions. They also unanimously agreed to conduct periodic meetings to monitor progress and assure the effective rollout of forthcoming initiatives.
