Russian airline Aeroflot has reported a remarkable jump in its financial results for the third quarter of 2025, showing that the country’s largest carrier is experiencing one of its strongest phases in recent years. The company announced a net profit of 32.9 billion roubles, an increase of 86.9% compared to the same period last year. This sharp rise reflects Aeroflot’s growing passenger demand, cost adjustments, and the airline’s ability to operate steadily despite the difficult global aviation climate.
The overall revenue for the July–September period rose slightly to 261.7 billion roubles, marking a 0.9% increase from a year earlier. While the revenue growth was modest, the company’s profitability improved sharply, which indicates better internal efficiency and strong control over operations. One of the most notable figures in the latest results is Aeroflot’s EBITDA, which jumped 115.2% to 89.5 billion roubles. This measure shows how efficiently the airline is running before considering loan payments, taxes, and other financial deductions.
The airline’s performance is significant because the global aviation industry continues to face high fuel costs, supply chain issues, and broader geopolitical tensions. Despite these challenges, Aeroflot has managed to grow its financial standing at a time when many airlines worldwide continue to struggle. Its ability to maintain and even expand its operations shows that the company is adapting to new travel patterns and changing market conditions.
Aeroflot’s improved results also highlight the shifts within Russia’s aviation sector. With limited competition from international carriers and a steady rise in domestic travel, the airline has been able to strengthen its market position. Increased flight activity to friendly countries has also supported this trend. Even though the company faces restrictions in some international markets, it continues to find ways to attract passengers and control its costs.
The strong third-quarter performance may help Aeroflot continue improving its fleet, customer service, and route network. It also sets a positive tone for the airline as it prepares for the year-end travel season, a period that often brings higher demand. As other global airlines navigate uncertain paths, Aeroflot’s financial results suggest that it is heading into the next year with confidence and stability.
The latest numbers show that Aeroflot remains a powerful force in Russia’s aviation industry, backed by rising profits, better management decisions, and strong passenger traffic. With this performance, the airline has sent a clear message that it is ready to handle future challenges while continuing to grow in an uncertain world.
