Abu Dhabi has moved to strengthen its industrial technology ecosystem after the Abu Dhabi Chamber formalised a partnership with 1X Technologies, Inc. The agreement, signed by His Excellency Shamis Ali Khalfan Al Dhaheri, Second Vice Chairman and Managing Director of the Chamber, and Mr. Mustally Hussain, CFO of 1X Technologies, establishes a framework to accelerate robotics and artificial intelligence adoption across the emirate’s energy and manufacturing sectors.
The deal targets concrete advances in clean energy, industrial automation and smart manufacturing. By deploying next‑generation robotic platforms and AI solutions, the collaboration aims to improve operational productivity, enable small and medium enterprises to access international value chains, and support Abu Dhabi’s strategy to diversify into a knowledge-driven economy.
Under the agreement, local companies will be able to evaluate, pilot and potentially localise sophisticated automation technologies. 1X Technologies, known globally for its humanoid robotics and AI-driven industrial systems, will provide technical know‑how that could reshape production processes and raise overall efficiency.
Officials say the timing aligns with Abu Dhabi’s objective to cement its role as a regional innovation hub. By linking domestic firms with international technology partners, the Chamber seeks to cultivate an ecosystem that strengthens competitiveness and resilience in global markets.
The partnership places particular emphasis on safe human‑robot collaboration, promoting intelligent machines designed to operate alongside workers. For Abu Dhabi, the initiative represents a strategic step beyond mere technology procurement toward building durable, export‑oriented industrial capacity.
