Abhishek Addresses Divorce Rumours Concerning His Family

Abhishek Bachchan has spoken out against persistent rumours surrounding the status of his marriage with Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, clarifying that their 14-year-old daughter, Aaradhya Bachchan, is completely unaware of such discussions. In a recent interview, he explained that Aaradhya does not have a mobile phone, which effectively shields her from idle gossip. This decision was mutually made by him and Aishwarya, and any communication with Aaradhya's friends must go through Aishwarya's device. He emphasized that Aaradhya is not only mature but also well-raised by her mother, enabling her to concentrate on what genuinely matters.

Abhishek further elaborated that while Aaradhya has access to the internet for educational purposes, her focus remains on studying rather than exploring online content about her parents. He disclosed that she enjoys her school life and prioritizes homework over social media use or celebrity news. Aishwarya has instilled in her daughter the importance of skepticism towards sensational stories, a lesson Abhishek learned as well from his own parents. He stated that their family thrives on transparency, eliminating any reason for Aaradhya to question their circumstances.

Referring to the marriage rumours, Abhishek dismissed them as “unfounded, malicious, and false,” making it clear that numerous reports about them over the years were utterly baseless. Recently, Aishwarya also had to clarify that Aaradhya is not active on social media after fake accounts impersonated her during the Red Sea Film Festival.

Beginning their romance on the sets of Umrao Jaan and Guru, Aishwarya and Abhishek wed in a private ceremony in 2007 and welcomed Aaradhya in 2011. Despite renewed speculation in 2024, including their separate arrivals at a high-profile wedding, the couple continues to maintain their dignity and composure under public scrutiny.

On the professional front, Aishwarya was recently featured in the Ponniyin Selvan series directed by Mani Ratnam, while Abhishek appeared in titles such as Be Happy, Housefull 5, and Kaalidhar Laapata, with his upcoming project King set to release soon.

By making conscious decisions about their parenting, the couple ensures that Aaradhya is insulated from online negativity, concentrating on her studies and nurturing strong values.
