Severe 6.2 Magnitude Quake Shakes Oregon Coast, No Tsunami Alert Issued

On Thursday evening, a significant earthquake measuring 6.2 on the Richter scale struck offshore from Oregon, USA. The quake occurred at a shallow depth of 10 kilometers (6.2 miles), potentially felt in surrounding areas.

Authorities have indicated that no injuries or damage have been reported thus far. Emergency services are actively monitoring the situation to ensure safety among the populace. Coastal residents are advised to remain vigilant and heed the advice of local officials.
