Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma Seek Guidance from Guru Premanand Maharaj

Post by : Mara Rahim

Virat Kohli and his spouse Anushka Sharma recently paid a visit to the esteemed spiritual leader Premanand Maharaj at the Shri Hit Radha Keli Kunj ashram in Varah Ghat, Vrindavan. Captured in viral social media clips, the duo was seen engrossed in the guru's teachings, illustrating their commitment to spiritual introspection amidst their public lives. This occasion marks their third visit to Vrindavan this calendar year, asserting their focus on spirituality, even in light of their busy schedules filled with international and public duties.

Their visit comes shortly before Kohli is set to participate in the Vijay Hazare Trophy representing Delhi. Although rumors had circulated about a potential meeting with football icon Lionel Messi in Mumbai or Delhi, Kohli opted for spiritual enrichment instead. Footage revealed Anushka and Kohli quietly absorbing the guru's sermon, reinforcing their dedication to personal faith and development.

This spiritual engagement follows their return from the United Kingdom, coinciding with Messi's extensive tour across the country. Supporters online commended the couple for their ability to harmonize their demanding public profiles with their spiritual commitments, highlighting their regular visits to Vrindavan as a source of grounding.

In related news, the apex council's 31st AGM will take place online, focusing on discussions regarding the contracts of Kohli and fellow cricketer Rohit Sharma. Both athletes have retired from Test and T20I formats in the past year and are currently focused on One Day Internationals.
