Vicky Kaushal is preparing for one of his most significant roles yet, where he will portray Lord Parashurama in the highly anticipated film Mahavatar, directed by Amar Kaushik. This mythological epic is poised to be among the most extensive Hindi film ventures, showcasing grand visual storytelling and exceptional production design.
Reports indicate that Mahavatar will focus on the narrative of Lord Parashurama, the sixth avatar of Lord Vishnu, revered for his strength, discipline, and unwavering sense of justice. The film intends to weave spiritual themes with cinematic brilliance, reviving ancient tales for contemporary audiences.
Recent rumors suggested that Kaushal had given up alcohol and non-vegetarian food to immerse himself in the character of the divine warrior-sage. Some accounts even asserted that he had adopted a sattvic lifestyle, encouraged by his father, renowned action director Sham Kaushal, to better embody the spiritual essence of Lord Parashurama.
However, these speculations have been clarified by Amar Kaushik, who expressed astonishment at such claims in a recent interview. He advised, “I don’t know where these stories originate. Please refrain from spreading baseless news. Only believe what we officially confirm.”
Amar went on to stress that while Vicky Kaushal is genuinely dedicated to his role, not all rumors regarding his personal habits or preparation methods should be regarded as facts.
The director's clarification was met with applause from fans on social media who rallied behind both the actor and the director. Many criticized the rumors as “far-fetched,” highlighting that Vicky has always emphasized maintaining a balanced diet suitable for his physically demanding roles. One supporter pointed out, “Vicky finds it challenging to bulk up; he puts in immense effort to build muscle for his characters. Therefore, it's unlikely he would restrict his diet like that.”
This clarification was welcomed by the public, who appreciated the director’s candidness and the team’s focus on the film rather than the surrounding gossip.
Mahavatar signifies the inaugural collaboration between Vicky Kaushal and Amar Kaushik, who has previously directed hits like Stree, Bala, and Bhediya. The film reportedly boasts spectacular sets, advanced visual effects, and a talented ensemble cast, although official announcements about supporting actors and the release date remain under wraps.
Industry sources label Mahavatar as one of the most ambitious mythological projects in Bollywood, merging contemporary technology with India's deep-rooted spiritual heritage.
Vicky Kaushal’s Personal Milestone
On the home front, Vicky Kaushal and his wife, actress Katrina Kaif, recently welcomed a baby boy. The couple shared a touching message with their fans, expressing their gratitude for the outpouring of love and blessings they’ve received. Since their wedding in December 2021, Vicky and Katrina have been showered with heartfelt congratulations from the film fraternity.
With Mahavatar, Vicky Kaushal embarks on a legendary role that promises to test both his physical and emotional capabilities as an actor. Under Amar Kaushik’s guidance, the film is anticipated to offer a truly extraordinary cinematic experience that merges mythology with modern-day storytelling.
