US Intelligence Warns of Possible Iranian Attacks After Khamenei’s Death

The report also notes that Iran and its proxy forces might continue targeting US and allied interests in the Middle East. This could involve attacks on military bases, diplomatic sites, or other strategic targets in the region. Iran has already engaged in missile and drone strikes against countries in the Gulf that host US military forces.

Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem said federal agencies are working closely together to watch for and defend against any possible threats on American soil. She emphasized that US intelligence and law enforcement groups are monitoring suspicious activity and taking steps to prevent harm.

Iran confirmed reports that its Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Khamenei, died following a joint military strike by the United States and Israel.
