Critical Renovations Ordered for Kalasin School

Post by : Shakul

In light of safety and hygiene issues identified during an inspection, Thailand's Ministry of Education has mandated essential renovations at Pinij Ratsabamrung School in Kalasin Province.

Education Minister Prasert Chantarawongthong, along with senior officials, conducted a visit as part of a comprehensive assessment of schools ahead of the upcoming academic year. The focus was on the condition of educational facilities and adherence to key education policies.

During the inspection, officials noted significant damage to the school’s buildings and identified hazardous wiring, posing risks for students and staff. The urgency of these findings necessitated immediate corrective action.

The minister has directed the Office of the Basic Education Commission to promptly address all pressing safety concerns, particularly those related to the aging infrastructure and wiring on the school premises.

Additionally, officials highlighted serious issues with the cafeteria, which is currently inadequate and fails to maintain proper hygiene standards, forcing students into staggered meal times due to limited space.

The Education Ministry has sanctioned plans to build a new cafeteria that will adhere to contemporary health and sanitation standards. This facility aims to foster a more conducive and healthier environment for students.

Pinij Ratsabamrung School plays a pivotal role in the district, serving over 700 students along with 45 teachers and staff. Enhancing school infrastructure is a vital component of Thailand's wider educational reform initiatives.

The ministry reasserts that the advancement of school safety, hygiene, and educational quality must progress in tandem to ensure that students across Thailand experience safe and nurturing learning environments.
