Post by : Raina Nasser

Texas, US – November 10, 2025: The community of Andhra Pradesh faces a sorrowful event as 23-year-old Rajyalakshmi “Raji” Yarlagadda was discovered deceased in her Texas apartment. A recent graduate of Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi, she had been carving out her path in the US when she unexpectedly passed away on November 7.

Her cousin, Chaitanya YVK, shared that she had been battling a severe cough and chest tightness for a few days leading up to her death. "On the fateful morning of Nov 7, 2025, she did not wake up to her alarm, leaving her family and friends in despair," he recounted. Her friends later found her body in her residence.

Medical professionals are currently conducting an extensive investigation to uncover the cause of her death. The shock of this loss has enveloped her loved ones in both Andhra Pradesh and the US.

To assist the grieving family, Chaitanya has set up a GoFundMe campaign aimed at covering the costs of her funeral, transporting Yarlagadda’s remains back to India, settling her student loans, and supporting her farmer parents in Karmechedu village, Bapatla district.

"Raji came to America with aspirations of supporting her family through education and diligent effort," stated the fundraising appeal. "Her untimely death has not only broken her family’s heart but has also created financial hurdles for them."

Her friends, classmates, and well-wishers mourn the loss of a committed student who dreamed of improving her family's future.

In this trying time, her family seeks the community’s prayers and support.
