Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan engaged in the second Abu Dhabi Infrastructure Summit (ADIS) held at the ADNEC Centre in Abu Dhabi, hosted by the Abu Dhabi Projects and Infrastructure Centre (ADPIC) under the banner “Urban Evolution: Rethinking Cities, Redefining How We Live.”

During his visit, Sheikh Khaled explored the exhibition showcasing forward-thinking technologies and innovative approaches to smart infrastructure and sustainable urban growth. The event featured over 75 exhibitors displaying advancements aimed at smart city designs, future-proof infrastructures, and enhancing quality of life.

Sheikh Khaled emphasized that investment in cutting-edge and sustainable infrastructure mirrors Abu Dhabi's ambitious vision to cultivate resilient and efficient urban environments that foster economic development, fulfill future demands, and enhance community welfare.

The summit convened upwards of 7,000 industry leaders, government representatives, experts, and executives from renowned local and international firms. In excess of 100 speakers and 250 government officials participated in various panels and discussions dedicated to exploring the future of urban growth.

Key discussions at the summit focused on four pivotal areas influencing the evolution of cities: infrastructure, urban living quality, smart solutions, and principles of sustainability and resilience.

A designated Abu Dhabi pavilion highlighted the emirate’s holistic urban planning strategy, featuring entities engaged in mobility, sustainability of infrastructure, and city development. Leading organizations from real estate, transportation, and social infrastructure showcased projects tied to Abu Dhabi’s US$57 billion infrastructure initiative.

Sheikh Khaled was joined by senior officials from Abu Dhabi, including Sheikh Khalifa bin Tahnoon bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, Jassem Mohamed Bu Ataba Al Zaabi, Mohamed Ali Al Shorafa, Mohamed Khalifa Al Mubarak, Saif Saeed Ghobash, and Maysarah Mahmoud Eid.
