MAKKAH — The Minister of Interior and Chairman of the Supreme Hajj Committee, Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif, commended the effective execution of the Hajj 1447 security and operational strategy, attributing its success to the comprehensive efforts of national agencies and the Kingdom’s dedication to supporting pilgrims globally.
In a high-level assembly at the Ministry of Interior in Makkah, Prince Abdulaziz shared the greetings of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud with personnel from the Interior, National Guard, Defense ministries, and other government bodies.
This meeting, held in conjunction with Eid Al-Adha, celebrated the effective management of the Hajj security initiative that ensured the safety and smooth transit of millions of pilgrims at the holy sites.
The Prince pointed out that the Kingdom's extensive security and organization plans achieved all targeted indicators, enhanced by the adept deployment of Saudi human resources, cutting-edge infrastructure, and advanced technologies. He emphasized that serving the Two Holy Mosques and their visitors remains a top priority, deeply entrenched in a national legacy spanning over three centuries.
Highlighting Saudi Arabia’s commitment, the minister noted significant enhancements made during this year's pilgrimage, which fostered better crowd management, boosted safety protocols, and improved services for pilgrims, in line with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.
Prince Abdulaziz praised the commitment and professionalism exhibited by both military and civilian personnel during the pilgrimage season and acknowledged the exceptional coordination among government entities as vital to the successful provision of security, health, transportation, and logistical services.
He expressed appreciation to the pilgrims and official Hajj missions worldwide for their cooperation and compliance with guidelines, which played a crucial role in ensuring a secure and orderly pilgrimage.
Looking to the future, the minister instructed all relevant authorities to promptly commence preparations for the 1448 AH Hajj season, embodying the Kingdom’s strategy of proactive planning and ongoing enhancement for maximum operational readiness in the years ahead.
During the meeting, Lieutenant General Mohammed Al-Bassami, Director of Public Security and Chairman of the Hajj Security Committee, provided an in-depth review of the security operation, emphasizing the importance of unified planning and the effectiveness of the Hajj Security Operations Center in managing the various developments.
Al-Bassami noted that the connected security framework was key in ensuring safety, managing crowds, and cultivating a serene atmosphere for worshippers during their pilgrimage rituals.
The meeting underscored Saudi Arabia’s ongoing dedication to enhancing Hajj services via strategic planning, innovative technology, and interagency collaboration, reaffirming the Kingdom’s commitment to facilitating a secure and seamless pilgrimage experience for millions of Muslims each year.
