Rolling Loud India Launches with Stellar Hip-Hop Acts

Rolling Loud, a premier global Hip-Hop festival, made waves in India on Saturday at Kharghar, Navi Mumbai. With two vibrant stages, the festival kept attendees on their feet throughout the performances.

The opening day kicked off with a blend of local and international talent, though it began with an unexpected twist. Los Angeles singer Allyn could not perform due to a foot injury but promised to return on day two in a wheelchair.

The crowd was captivated by Wild Wild Women, India’s first all-women Hip-Hop collective, showcasing lively outfits and electrifying performances. American star Dababy brought the house down, not only through his dynamic lyrics but also by splashing water on the enthusiastic audience.

Swae Lee shone brightly during the evening, belting out classics such as Sunflower, No Type, Black Beatles, and Unforgettable. He rallied the crowd with his Manequin Challenge and drew cheers with the surprise announcement of new music set for January.

Indian rapper Hanumankind, fresh from knee surgery, kept the momentum high with hits like Police at the Door and Monsoon Season, featuring the dance troupe Kings United, who added flair to his performance.

Wiz Khalifa took listeners on an emotional ride with beloved tracks like Young Wild and Free and We Dem Boyz, ending in a poignant tribute with See You Again, honoring late artists whose pictures flashed on the screen.

The night closed with British rapper Central Cee delivering his hit Truth in the Lies. He sported a T-shirt featuring Lord Shiva along with a green beanie and chunky jewelry. A viral clip of Central Cee playing cricket in Mumbai surfaced just before his act, followed by a brief moment of disturbance among the crowd.

This debut of Rolling Loud India thrilled fans with a spectacular mix of performances, elite line-ups, and lasting memories, setting the tone for the festival's second day.
