The “Thai Chuay Thai Plus” economic initiative in Thailand is experiencing an unprecedented uptick in business registrations as entrepreneurs are drawn to participate in significant numbers. As of May 27 alone, authorities noted the highest daily sign-up count since the program's inception earlier this week.
Deputy Government Spokesperson Lalida Periswiwatana revealed that a remarkable 12,840 new businesses registered on May 27, marking the peak daily records since applications opened on May 25.
Data indicates a consistent upward trend in registrations over the last few days. On May 25, there were 12,429 new sign-ups, followed by 10,244 the next day, culminating in the significant surge on May 27. These numbers suggest robust confidence in the government's economic recovery strategies.
In addition, the number of businesses achieving successful verification and operational status also saw a notable rise. On May 27, 10,576 shops completed the process, raising the overall count of approved businesses to 605,812 across the nation.
Government officials emphasized that the current administration, under Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul, remains dedicated to enhancing the grassroots economy and assisting small enterprises, community shops, and local business owners throughout the country.
Lalida noted that the soaring participation rates serve as a clear indicator that business owners are optimistic about expanding their markets and increasing sales via this government-supported framework. Efforts to expedite the approval and verification processes for registered businesses are currently underway.
The Thai Chuay Thai Plus program is part of Thailand's broader economic stimulus strategy, aimed at lessening living expenses for citizens while bolstering the domestic market in light of recent economic challenges and shifting market conditions.
Economic experts view the swift rise in registrations as a sign of heightened faith in government-sponsored fiscal support and underline the crucial role of small and medium-sized enterprises in propelling Thailand's local economic revival.
