Ravie Dubey to Portray Laxman in Ranbir Kapoor’s Ramayana

Post by : Mina Rahman

Actor and producer Ravie Dubey has conveyed his enthusiasm for being part of the highly awaited film Ramayana, featuring Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Rama. During an interview at the International Film Festival of India (IFFI), he referred to joining the film as a unique blessing and an extraordinary opportunity.

“Being involved in this film feels like a divine blessing. I see it as a fortune to contribute to the Ram Katha narrative,” Ravie shared. “This opportunity is monumental, and I am profoundly thankful and excited about it.”

In this monumental film, Ravie will take on the role of Laxman. He previously offered fans an insight into his character via social media in July, stating, “It’s the greatest honour of my life to be part of a narrative that has inspired generations. Welcome to the world of Namit Malhotra’s Ramayana, depicting the timeless saga of Rama versus Ravana. I feel privileged to step into this journey and share it with everyone. Let us cherish this experience together in the realm of Ramayana—our truth, our history.”

The film features a magnificent ensemble cast. Alongside Ranbir Kapoor as Rama, Yash will play Ravana. The cast also includes Sai Pallavi, Sunny Deol, Kajal Aggarwal, Rakul Preet Singh, Arun Govil, Kunal Kapoor, and many more. Audiences are eagerly anticipating how this contemporary rendering of the ancient epic will materialize on cinema screens.

Beyond acting, Ravie and his spouse Sargun Mehta have recently embarked on a venture into production. After spending over a decade in the television realm, they have established their own production house, Dreamiyata Entertainment. This initiative aims to present diverse content across various genres.

Their ongoing projects feature shows like Dil Ko Rafu Kar Le, Hale Dil, Tu Aashiqui Hai, and Lovely Lulla, available on their platform. The season finales are set to premiere soon, followed by a range of new series, creating anticipation among viewers.

Ravie’s evolution from television actor to producer, and now his involvement in one of Bollywood's grand epics, highlights his multifaceted talent and commitment to narrative artistry. Fans of both Ramayana and Bollywood are buzzing with excitement to see this epic tale brought to life with such a talented cast.
