The Ras Al Khaimah Economic Zone (RAKEZ) has completed an impactful India Roadshow, aimed at bridging Indian businesses with opportunities in the UAE, spanning major cities like Pune, Chennai, Bangalore, and New Delhi. This initiative attracted over 200 businesses across diverse sectors, including manufacturing, engineering, chemicals, and building materials.
The week-long event underlined RAKEZ’s vital role in the context of the UAE–India Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA), showcasing its industrial ecosystem as a competitive and economically viable option for Indian firms aiming for global outreach.
A highlight of the roadshow occurred in New Delhi, with RAKEZ entering into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI). This agreement fosters collaborative initiatives, including knowledge sharing, joint business events, and the facilitation of Indian companies to access UAE markets.
The event also celebrated the culmination of the UAE–India Start-up Series, which aimed to promote high-potential Indian start-ups. Bioreform, a company from Hyderabad specializing in biodegradable packaging alternatives, emerged as a winner and will receive support from RAKEZ to expand internationally.
Through productive discussions and roundtable sessions, RAKEZ highlighted its business-friendly environment, opportunities for joint ventures, technology collaborations, and pathways for Indian enterprises to enhance their operations in Ras Al Khaimah. The initiative significantly reinforced trade relations between the UAE and India, positioning RAKEZ as a pivotal access point for Indian businesses seeking both regional and global growth.
