Qatar Airways Wins World's Best Airline for 2025 Again

Post by : Bandanpreet Kaur

For the second year in a row, Qatar Airways has been named the World’s Best Airline at the 2025 Skytrax World Airline Awards. The award was given at a special event held at the Paris Air Show’s Air and Space Museum, inside the elegant Art Deco Hall of Eight Columns at Le Bourget airport.

This is not the first time the airline has received such recognition — in fact, it’s the ninth time in the last 26 years that Qatar Airways has won this top honour. The Skytrax Awards are considered the "Oscars of the aviation world", and are known worldwide for recognising excellence in the airline industry.

Along with the biggest title, Qatar Airways also won three more important awards:

  • Best Airline in the Middle East

  • Best Business Class in the World

  • Best Business Class Lounge

Speaking at the event, Badr Mohammed Al-Meer, the Group CEO of Qatar Airways, said this honour is more than just an award. He shared that it reflects the care, commitment, and quality the airline offers every day.

“This award is really a celebration of how hard we work and how much we care about every passenger,” he said. “We aim to set new goals in the airline industry and make sure every traveller feels respected, valued, and happy to fly with us again.”

The Skytrax Awards are based on the votes of millions of passengers from around the world. These awards show that travellers truly trust and support Qatar Airways.

Founded in 1993, Qatar Airways has continued to grow stronger every year. Just last month, the airline made a major announcement — it will order up to 210 new widebody planes from Boeing, including 130 Dreamliners and 30 Boeing 777-9 aircraft.

In the 2025 Skytrax rankings, the top airlines were:

  1. Qatar Airways

  2. Singapore Airlines

  3. Cathay Pacific

  4. Emirates

  5. ANA All Nippon Airways

  6. Turkish Airlines

  7. Korean Air

  8. Air France

  9. Japan Airlines

  10. Hainan Airlines (China)

Singapore Airlines, which has won this award five times before, came second this year. It was also honoured with three awards:

  • Best Airline in Asia

  • World’s Best Cabin Crew

  • World’s Best First Class

Other famous airlines that made it into the world’s top 20 include Swiss International Air Lines, British Airways, Qantas, Virgin Atlantic, Lufthansa, Air Canada, STARLUX Airlines, EVA Air, Saudia, and Iberia.

This recognition shows that Qatar Airways continues to lead with excellent service, comfort, and innovation. Millions of happy passengers around the world are proof of their success.
