A nutritious diet is the cornerstone of beautiful skin and hair. Many invest in creams and serums, but experts assert that genuine beauty emerges from within. Nutritionist Shalini Sudhakar offers a straightforward homemade recipe lasting just 10 minutes that enhances skin and hair vitality.
In a video posted on her Instagram account, Shalini revealed her unique “Protein and Collagen Laddu,” prepared using only three everyday ingredients — aliv seeds, whole black urad dal, and black sesame seeds. She claims these components are packed with nutrients that diminish hair loss, enhance skin texture, and elevate natural luminosity.
A Natural Enhancement for Skin and Hair
According to Shalini, diet is more pivotal for skin and hair health than any topical product. “What you consume is crucial for your skin and hair care,” she articulated.
She elaborated that this simple laddu promotes collagen production — a vital protein that preserves skin elasticity and youthfulness. It also strengthens and adds shine to hair. “For naturally glowing skin and vibrant hair, this recipe is perfect for you,” Shalini emphasized.
The Three Super Ingredients
1. Aliv seeds (garden cress seeds):
Shalini highlighted that aliv seeds boast iron, omega-3 fatty acids, and vitamin C. These nutrients curtail hair loss, fortify hair roots, and stimulate growth. They also enhance blood circulation to the scalp, promoting thicker and shinier hair.
2. Whole black urad dal:
This ingredient serves as a superb plant-based protein source. It aids the body in collagen synthesis, essential for maintaining skin and hair health. “Collagen nurtures your skin from the inside out,” Shalini detailed. Regular usage can render your skin appearing younger and smoother.
3. Black sesame seeds:
Famed for their calcium and folate content, these seeds assist in lightening skin pigmentation and diminishing wrinkles. Shalini stated they also enhance collagen levels, resulting in even-toned and supple skin. The nutrients in sesame seeds safeguard the skin against aging and dryness, providing a fresh radiance.
A Quick 10-Minute Recipe
Shalini described her laddu as simple to prepare and perfect for anyone seeking a swift, nutritious snack. The creation process takes under 10 minutes.
To make it, lightly roast the three ingredients, grind them into a fine powder, and blend with a bit of jaggery or honey to mold small laddus. These can be stored for several days and enjoyed daily as a nutrient-rich snack.
“This is not just delicious but incredibly beneficial for your skin and hair,” Shalini said, recommending one laddu a day for noticeable improvement over time.
Beauty Begins Within
The nutritionist counseled her audience that skincare products only aid externally while nutrition nourishes from the inside. “When proteins, vitamins, and minerals synergize, they create a natural glow for skin and hair,” she asserted.
Shalini also stressed the importance of consistent healthy eating, proper hydration, and adequate sleep for overall wellness and beauty.
Her easy three-ingredient laddu proves that caring for your skin and hair doesn’t need to be costly or complex. Sometimes, the most effective beauty treatments are found right in your kitchen — requiring just a few minutes and the correct nutrient blend to illuminate naturally.
