Post by : Bianca Suleiman

Nakheel, a key component of Dubai Holding Real Estate, has entered into contracts exceeding AED 3.5 billion for the construction of 544 villas at Palm Jebel Ali, representing a significant advancement in one of Dubai's most ambitious waterfront projects.

The construction contracts have been awarded to Ginco General Contracting L.L.C and United Engineering Construction (UNEC). Ginco is set to construct 354 villas across Fronds A to D, whereas UNEC will focus on 190 villas in Fronds E and F. Work is slated to start this quarter, with a target completion in the fourth quarter of 2028.

Khalid Al Malik, CEO of Dubai Holding Real Estate, emphasized that the contract awards signify meaningful progress in the Palm Jebel Ali project. He noted that this development is crucial for enhancing Dubai’s coastline and fostering long-term growth, thereby increasing the city’s appeal to residents, investors, and tourists alike.

Ginco’s Chairman, Gheyath Mohammad Gheyath, expressed pride in their ongoing collaboration with Nakheel, affirming their commitment to upholding high project standards. UNEC’s Chairman, Eng. Abdul Halim Muwahid, also underscored the collaborative spirit, describing Palm Jebel Ali as vital in cultivating future communities.

Palm Jebel Ali stands as a cornerstone in Dubai’s future growth strategies. It embodies the city’s vision for contemporary, sustainable waterfront living with the villas showcasing a range of 10 unique designs that prioritize sea views, smart-home technology, and environmentally-friendly features.

Furthermore, this initiative aligns with the Dubai 2040 Urban Master Plan and the Dubai Economic Agenda D33, reinforcing Dubai’s status as a global frontrunner in luxury waterfront projects.
