Riteish Deshmukh, Vivek Oberoi and Aftab Shivdasani have reassembled for Mastiii 4, the newest entry in the adult-comedy franchise. The newly released trailer leans into broad humour, nostalgia and the same unapologetic mayhem that characterised earlier chapters.
Directed by Milap Milan Zaveri, the film brings back the trio as Amar, Meet and Prem. Time has passed, but the three retain their trademark comic interplay and promise another instalment driven by quick gags and chaotic set-pieces.
The principal cast posted the preview on Instagram with the note,
“This year Mastiii 4 is full of Dhamaal and Golmaal! Trailer Out Now! Releasing in cinemas on 21st November.”
The clip rapidly circulated online, with long-time viewers welcoming the revival of a series that began in 2004.
A reunion filled with laughter
Riteish Deshmukh described the project as a return to familiar territory. He said the fourth film turned into a laughter-filled collaboration and that working alongside Vivek and Aftab felt like a warm reunion, adding that the on-set atmosphere was unusually jovial.
Vivek Oberoi noted the trailer captures only a fraction of the film’s pandemonium, underlining the trio’s enduring rapport. Aftab Shivdasani, a franchise regular, characterised the film as more than work — a continuation of an easy camaraderie and timing that still lands.
Director’s full circle moment
Milap Milan Zaveri, who contributed as a writer on earlier installments, now assumes directorial duties. He called the move from writer to director a significant milestone and said steering the fourth film with the original leads felt like a natural culmination, promising amplified humour and vigour beyond what the trailer reveals.
Star-studded cast, familiar madness
Alongside the core trio, the ensemble includes Shreya Sharma, Ruhii Singh, Elnaaz Norouzi, Tusshar Kapoor, Shaad Randhawa and Nishant Malkani in important roles. The production is handled by A. Jhunjhunwala and Shikha Karan Ahluwalia under Waveband Production and Zee Studios, with Maruti International and Balaji Telefilms also involved.
Mastiii 4 is scheduled to open in cinemas on November 21, offering the franchise’s signature over-the-top comedy to audiences who grew up with its earlier instalments.
