Post by : Shakul

Kyrgyzstan marked the significant occasion of the 34th anniversary of its Armed Forces with an elaborate ceremony at the Kyrgyz National Philharmonic Hall in Bishkek. The gathering was graced by the presence of the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, Adylbek Kasymaliev, alongside senior government officials, military leaders, veterans, and armed forces members. The event underscored the nation’s dedication to bolstering national defense and maintaining its sovereignty.

During his address, Kasymaliev congratulated the military personnel, veterans, and their families on this remarkable milestone. He pointed out that the formation of the Armed Forces after Kyrgyzstan’s independence was crucial for establishing a robust and sovereign nation ready to defend its territory and national interests.

He commended the commitment of military veterans and past commanders who have been instrumental in the national army's establishment and growth. Despite facing various obstacles over the last thirty years, the Armed Forces have preserved their traditions while enhancing their operational capacity and readiness.

A notable segment of Kasymaliev’s speech concentrated on military modernization. He revealed that recent years have witnessed significant investments in state-of-the-art defense technologies consisting of advanced weaponry, military aviation, air defense systems, armored vehicles, communication structures, and logistical support. These enhancements aim to fortify the nation’s defense stance and boost military efficiency.

The government has ramped up efforts to enhance the living conditions of military personnel. New housing units, military bases, barracks, and service facilities are being developed nationwide to ensure better accommodations for soldiers and their families. Officials anticipate that these initiatives will elevate morale and ensure long-term stability within military ranks.

Kasymaliev noted the increasing enthusiasm for military service among the nation’s youth, highlighting a growing trend of young individuals opting for careers in the Armed Forces. He interpreted this as a sign of rising patriotism and public trust in the military as a vital component of national security and development.

In closing, the chairman reaffirmed Kyrgyzstan’s pursuit of a peaceful foreign policy while upholding strong defense capabilities. He underscored the value of regional cooperation through organizations like the Commonwealth of Independent States, the Collective Security Treaty Organization, and the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation. Concluding his remarks, Kasymaliev expressed confidence that Kyrgyzstan’s Armed Forces are thoroughly equipped to defend the nation and its citizens while playing a role in regional peace and stability.
