Post by : Mina Rahman

Kamaal Rashid Khan, commonly known as KRK, has been apprehended by Mumbai police regarding a recent shooting event that transpired in Oshiwara, Andheri. He is currently recognized as the main suspect in this case.

Oshiwara authorities took KRK into custody and transported him to the local precinct late Friday night. Officials report that the actor confessed to discharging shots during his testimony, affirming that his licensed firearm was utilized. The weapon has been confiscated by the authorities, and required legal documentation is being processed as part of the ongoing investigation.

This incident, which occurred on January 18, involved two rounds fired at a residential site within Nalanda Society, Oshiwara. One of the affected residences belongs to a writer-director, and the other is home to a model. Investigators successfully recovered two projectiles—one from the second floor and another from the fourth floor.

An 18-member investigative team from the Oshiwara police, headed by officer Sanjay Chavan, has been collaborating with various units from the crime branch. Initially, police encountered challenges as surveillance footage didn’t indicate any suspicious actions. However, forensic studies later pointed to the bullets likely having originated from KRK's residence.

Sources from the police have indicated that formal procedures for KRK's arrest are currently in progress and are expected to conclude by morning. The investigation remains active, with authorities meticulously analyzing all evidence to decide on subsequent actions.

This event has garnered significant public concern, highlighting issues related to safety and the possible misuse of firearms in residential areas. Officials have stressed that rigorous measures will be enforced upon completion of all legal protocols.
