Inauguration of King Hamad Park Celebrates Bahrain National Day

Post by : Bianca Suleiman

In a gesture of solidarity, the UAE has inaugurated King Hamad Bin Isa Al Khalifa Park following instructions from His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, marking Bahrain's 54th National Day on December 16, 2025. This initiative embodies the long-standing friendship and strategic connection between the UAE and Bahrain.

Carefully curated for families, the newly opened park boasts over 1,100 mature Ghaf trees, fostering a serene and green atmosphere that enhances wellness, leisure, and sustainability.

Guests can explore a variety of contemporary amenities, including raised walking paths, picturesque trails, ample tree cover, a pump track, cycling routes, and a fully air-conditioned walkway that spans nearly 700 meters. These features ensure year-round accessibility and comfort.

His Excellency Mohamed Ali Al Shorafa, Chairman of the Department of Municipalities and Transport, highlighted that the park symbolizes the profound bond between the UAE and Bahrain, emphasizing the familial ties shared by the people and leadership of both nations.

The park further accommodates open green spaces, yoga and meditation areas, lively children's playgrounds, and designated fitness zones for senior citizens and People of Determination, promoting inclusivity for every visitor.

At the heart of the park lies a newly established café featuring a cooled outdoor terrace and an elevated viewing platform offering breathtaking views of the lush canopy. Moreover, food trucks and water fountains are strategically located throughout the area for enhanced visitor enjoyment and convenience.

King Hamad Bin Isa Al Khalifa Park is poised to become a prominent recreational facility, celebrating unity, sustainability, and the enduring UAE-Bahrain alliance.
