Farah Khan Responds Elegantly to Kajol's Relevance Remarks

Post by : Mina Rahman

Bollywood director Farah Khan made an appearance on the talk show Two Much With Kajol and Twinkle, where an exchange between her and Kajol went viral. After Kajol joked about Farah's relevance, the filmmaker's dignified response earned her considerable acclaim online.

In a trending clip, Kajol stated, “And you are relevant till today, and at least you believe that you are relevant.” To this, Farah replied thoughtfully,

“Yeah, see I don’t like that word, Kajol, because I feel every person is relevant in some way or the other, even if you’re not working.”

As Kajol sought to clarify her intent, Farah remarked,

“I’ve always felt I’m relevant to my children, my husband, my mum. I think that’s a bad word somehow — it puts down people who are not working actively.”

The Internet Applauds Farah's Composure

Fans took to social media in droves, praising Farah's insightful comeback. One user noted, “Farah Khan is the greenest flag of Bollywood.” Another added, “Loved how Farah shut her down — they finally got a taste of their own medicine.”

Critics also voiced their opinions on the hosts, with some asserting, “Twinkle and Kajol think they’re being sassy, but they just come off as rude.” Many hailed Farah's response as “graceful,” emphasizing the necessity of empathy in dialogue.

Current Endeavors of Farah and Kajol

Recently, Farah choreographed the popular track “Gafoor” from Aryan Khan’s first directorial project, The Ba**ds of Bollywood*, starring Tamannaah Bhatia. She is also gaining popularity with her cooking vlog series featuring celebrities.

Kajol was last featured in Sarzameen and currently co-hosts Two Much With Kajol and Twinkle, which releases new episodes every Thursday on Prime Video.
