Emirates has introduced a bold special livery on its renowned Airbus A380, prominently displaying the UAE flag. This striking design features a giant representation of the UAE flag across both sides of the aircraft, highlighting the unity, pride, and aspirations of the United Arab Emirates.
The new livery is showcased on aircraft A6-EVG and is part of Emirates' 'This Flag Will Always Fly' campaign. This initiative aligns with the national call from Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, urging citizens and residents to display the UAE flag as a powerful symbol of national unity and solidarity.
Emirates Chairman Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum expressed pride in responding to this call from leadership, emphasizing the importance of honoring the UAE's strength and collective spirit. He noted that the UAE flag has always been present on every Emirates aircraft's tail, with this new design serving as a tribute to a nation fostering growth and ambition.
The newly adorned aircraft has already completed flights to destinations like New York and Brisbane, and it will continue to travel across the Emirates network, showcasing the flag to a global audience.
Additionally, Emirates announced plans to extend this UAE flag design to its Boeing 777 fleet soon.
The UAE flag is a staple of Emirates' identity, displayed on the tail of every aircraft in its substantial fleet. The airline has previously unveiled various special liveries to commemorate significant national events.
In 2017, Emirates launched a special design featuring Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan to celebrate the 'Year of Zayed,' along with multiple liveries for Expo 2020 Dubai.
