Dubai Unveils New Women-Only Beach at Al Mamzar

Post by : Bianca Suleiman

Dubai has unveiled the initial phase of its transformative Al Mamzar Beaches project, establishing a contemporary beachfront that features a unique women-only beach area, round-the-clock night swimming, water sports options, and the region's pioneering floating walkway.

Inaugurated by Dubai Municipality on May 5, this development represents a significant investment as part of a broader AED 500 million initiative to redevelop Al Mamzar Beaches.

Spanning 2.75 million square feet, the renovated coastal venue is designed to enhance the public beach experience for both residents and tourists. Officials indicated that the project emphasizes safety, accessibility, family-oriented facilities, and modern leisure activities.

A standout feature is the exclusively women-only beach, providing enhanced privacy and comfort for female guests. The development also boasts a nighttime swimming area equipped with state-of-the-art lighting and safety measures, ensuring a safe swimming experience after dark.

In addition, Dubai presents fresh water sports facilities alongside a groundbreaking floating walkway, offering visitors an unparalleled coastline experience.

The redevelopment further includes jogging and cycling paths, children’s play zones, green spaces, restaurants, cafés, and upgraded public amenities geared towards boosting tourism and community engagement.

Officials noted that the Al Mamzar Beaches initiative aligns with Dubai's overarching goal to enhance public spaces and fortify the city’s status as a premier global tourist destination.
