The Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy, which operates under the umbrella of Dubai Chambers, has completed a major global tour to promote Expand North Star 2025, the world’s largest event for startups and investors. The event will be held at Dubai Harbour from 12 to 15 October 2025, bringing together leading startups, investors, and technology experts from around the world.

This promotional tour was carried out in partnership with the Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC). As part of the campaign, the Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy visited 16 cities across nine countries, including Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Portugal, Singapore, the United Kingdom, the United States, and Vietnam.

Meetings with Over 2,000 Startups

During the roadshows, the Chamber engaged with more than 2,000 digital startups and over 215 ecosystem stakeholders, such as venture capital firms, technology incubators, and government organisations. The purpose of these meetings was to present the many opportunities that Dubai offers to digital businesses and to encourage them to participate in Expand North Star 2025.

The Chamber showcased how Dubai is an ideal place for startups to grow and expand, thanks to its modern infrastructure, strong digital economy, supportive policies, and global reach. It also highlighted the benefits of participating in Expand North Star, such as networking with global investors, learning from industry leaders, and gaining worldwide exposure.

What is Expand North Star?

Expand North Star is widely known as the largest global event for startups and investors. It is organised by the Dubai World Trade Centre and hosted by the Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy.

This event attracts innovators, entrepreneurs, investors, and digital leaders from every part of the world. The main goal of Expand North Star is to create a platform where startups can showcase their products and services, find potential partners, and secure investment opportunities. By hosting this event, Dubai is positioning itself as a global hub for digital growth, entrepreneurship, and innovation.

Competitions to Boost Startups

A key part of the roadshows was the startup pitch competitions held in each city. These contests allowed startups to present their most innovative ideas to a panel of experts. The winner from each city was awarded a fully sponsored chance to attend Expand North Star 2025 in Dubai.

There were also additional competitions that gave startups the opportunity to qualify for the final stage of the Supernova Challenge — the biggest startup pitch competition in the region. The final rounds of this challenge will take place as part of the Expand North Star event in October.

Why Startups Choose Dubai

Dubai has become a leading destination for digital companies and entrepreneurs because of its unique advantages. Its location serves as a bridge between East and West, giving companies access to markets in Europe, Asia, Africa, and beyond.

The Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy provides comprehensive support to startups looking to set up or expand in the emirate. This includes help with networking, access to potential investors, and guidance on how to grow in a competitive global market.

Dubai also has a clear vision for the future of its economy, which is outlined in the Dubai Economic Agenda (D33). This plan focuses on transforming Dubai into one of the world’s top three cities for business, innovation, and digital technologies by 2033.

A Global Meeting Place for Innovation

Expand North Star 2025 is expected to attract thousands of participants from around the globe. It will serve as a hub for sharing ideas, building partnerships, and exploring new technologies. Startups will have the opportunity to meet with venture capital firms, angel investors, and mentors who can help them grow their businesses.

The event will also feature expert panels, workshops, and networking sessions designed to give startups insights into the latest global trends. By attending this event, companies can connect with some of the biggest names in the tech industry and learn how to expand their reach.

Supernova Challenge – The Big Prize

The Supernova Challenge is a highlight of Expand North Star. It is a highly competitive startup pitch contest where companies present their most promising ideas to leading investors and business leaders.

Winning the Supernova Challenge can give startups a significant boost, including financial support, mentorship, and global recognition. For many startups, this platform can be the launchpad to take their business to the next level.

Dubai’s Commitment to Digital Growth

The Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy has made it clear that it is dedicated to building a strong digital ecosystem in the emirate. The Chamber believes that supporting startups and digital companies is key to creating sustainable economic growth.

Through initiatives like Expand North Star, Dubai is not just encouraging innovation but also helping businesses find opportunities to succeed on a global stage. This commitment is part of Dubai’s larger goal to be a world leader in technology and digital transformation.

Why Expand North Star Matters

For startups, Expand North Star 2025 is much more than a networking event. It is a gateway to international markets and an opportunity to build partnerships with influential investors, industry experts, and global brands.

By participating in the event, startups can showcase their products, gain visibility, and access new funding opportunities. For many young companies, attending Expand North Star could be the key to unlocking their full potential.

Conclusion

The Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy has successfully completed its global roadshow to promote Expand North Star 2025. By visiting 16 major cities and engaging with thousands of digital startups, the Chamber has created worldwide awareness about this landmark event.

Scheduled for 12 to 15 October 2025 at Dubai Harbour, Expand North Star promises to bring together the brightest minds and most promising startups in the digital economy.

With events like this, Dubai continues to strengthen its position as a global centre for technology, entrepreneurship, and digital innovation.
