Under the esteemed patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, Dubai Business Associates (DBA) proudly celebrated the graduation of its 11th cohort at The Ritz-Carlton, Dubai International Financial Centre.

This remarkable programme culminated in the graduation of 37 Associates hailing from 21 diverse countries, including 12 Emiratis and 25 international participants. The attendees represented nations such as India, the United Kingdom, the United States, France, Germany, Colombia, Peru, Russia, Slovakia, and South Africa, showcasing Dubai's prominence as a hub for talent development and leadership.

His Excellency Mohammed Ibrahim Al Shaibani, Director General of His Highness The Dubai Ruler’s Court, emphasized that the programme embodies Sheikh Mohammed's vision to elevate Dubai as a global center for talent and innovation. He highlighted DBA’s commitment to cultivating both Emirati and international leaders, equipping them with the skills and global perspectives necessary for future economic contributions.

Al Shaibani remarked that the programme's expansion and heightened global interest reflect a strong international confidence in Dubai as a top destination for leadership development. He underscored the city’s dedication to nurturing future leaders through values like excellence, resilience, collaboration, and innovation.

The Dubai Business Associates Programme is a nine-month, fully funded initiative designed for elite university graduates. It offers a combination of academic education and hands-on consulting experiences at prominent public and private sector organizations in Dubai. Participants engage in professional placements, consulting projects, and leadership training while immersing themselves in Dubai’s dynamic business landscape.

Throughout the programme, Associates completed over 20 placements in sectors including digital transformation, sustainability, venture capital, retail, hospitality, tourism, and finance. They also executed eight consulting projects for leading entities such as the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism, Emirates Group, Digital Dubai, Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC), and Kerzner International.

Despite global economic obstacles, participants delivered strategic insights and innovative solutions to real business challenges, showcasing remarkable adaptability and professionalism.

Since its inception, DBA has welcomed 349 Associates from 56 nations and facilitated 100 consulting collaborations with hallmark organizations throughout Dubai. The programme has also propelled the advancement of 68 Emirati graduates during its 11-year tenure.

Key educational partners, including PwC, CAPADEV, and Bon Education, offer specialized leadership training focusing on strategy, business management, and professional advancement.

A number of graduates were acknowledged for their exceptional accomplishments during the ceremony. Reem Lari of the UAE earned the Emirati Award for excellence in academics, professional endeavors, and community leadership. Tom-Louis Flohrer from Germany received the Falcon Award for incredible leadership potential along with embodying the programme's core values.

Michael Banks from the United States was honored with the Faculty Award for his academic prowess and professionalism. Angelica Wilina from Indonesia claimed the Best Fellow Award for her collaborative contributions, while Viktoria Zbojanova from Slovakia received the Erin Langlards Award for her empathy and commitment to personal development.

Graduates lauded the programme for enriching their professional and personal growth through strategic initiatives and networking with leading industry figures. They noted how the experience enhanced their leadership and consulting capabilities while facilitating the creation of valuable professional connections.

Applications for the DBA's upcoming 12th cohort, set to commence in September 2026, attracted over 14,284 candidates from 148 nations.
