On Wednesday, the family of veteran Bollywood star Dharmendra confirmed his discharge from Breach Candy Hospital. At 89 years old, the esteemed actor, who has faced health challenges in recent weeks, is now under home care with medical supervision.

In an official statement, his family expressed heartfelt thanks to fans for their unwavering support, stating: “We are grateful for everyone’s affection, prayers, and good wishes for his ongoing recovery and good health. We kindly ask for respect, as he feels deeply loved by you.”

This update follows the widespread dissemination of false rumors regarding Dharmendra's passing, which alarmed his devoted fans. His family addressed the situation, calling for responsible journalism and sensitivity.

Hema Malini, Dharmendra’s long-time co-star and spouse, took to social media to express her outrage, stating, “This is utterly unacceptable! Responsible media should not spread falsehoods about someone who is actively recovering. This behavior is disheartening and lacks respect. Please allow our family privacy.”

Medical professionals caring for Dharmendra have recommended that he continue to rest, adhere to a monitored diet, and attend regular check-ups to ensure his health stays stable. Fans nationwide have expressed their relief and continued support for the legendary actor.

Known as the “He-Man” of Bollywood, Dharmendra has had a remarkable career, delivering memorable performances in timeless classics such as Sholay, Chupke Chupke, and Anupama. His legacy in Indian cinema has gained him a cherished place among fans.

The family, along with the medical personnel, requests that both media and fans respect Dharmendra’s privacy as he concentrates on achieving a full recovery at home.
