Post by : Saif Nasser

Choreographer and digital creator Dhanashree Verma recently shared her emotional journey about her marriage with Indian cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal. She spoke openly during her appearance on the popular reality show Rise & Fall. The couple, who married in December 2020 in Gurgaon, had been living separately since 2022 and finalized their separation in March 2025.

Dhanashree’s heartfelt conversation offered a rare glimpse into the highs and lows of their relationship. She spoke about her personal struggles, her reflections on love, trust, and the process of moving forward after a challenging phase in life.

A Marriage of Love and Arrangement

Dhanashree revealed that her marriage was a blend of love and arrangement. She told host Arjun Bijlani, “It started as an arranged marriage. He wanted to marry without dating, and I wasn’t planning anything like that. I got convinced because of the love and effort poured into the process. We did our roka in August and married in December.”

The initial phase of the marriage was filled with excitement, hope, and shared dreams. However, over time, subtle changes began to appear in Chahal’s behavior, creating challenges in the relationship.

Challenges and Emotional Struggles

Talking about the difficulties in the marriage, Dhanashree said, “There’s a difference between how people act when they want something and after they get it. Even though I trusted him and gave my hundred percent, eventually, I could not continue.” Her words highlighted that trust and effort alone are not always enough to sustain a relationship, and emotional strain can take a toll.

On Reconciliation and Friendship

When asked about the possibility of reconciliation or maintaining a friendship, Dhanashree expressed maturity and care. She said, “I will always care about him. That concern will never go away.” Despite the challenges, she emphasized respect and emotional resilience, choosing to keep certain personal details private.

Addressing Rumors About Chahal

Dhanashree also addressed rumors regarding Chahal’s personal life. Recently, Chahal was spotted with RJ Mahvash at the Champions Trophy final in Dubai. Both have clarified publicly that they are only friends. Dhanashree’s comments reflected her composure in dealing with public scrutiny while staying respectful toward her former husband.

Rise & Fall: Bringing Stories to Light

Rise & Fall, streaming on Amazon MX Player, is hosted by Ashneer Grover. The show divides contestants into Rulers, who live in luxury and make key decisions, and Workers, who perform tasks to build a prize pot. Participants “rise” or “fall” based on performance and alliances, creating a competitive and dramatic environment.

Dhanashree’s appearance gave viewers a deeper look into her life beyond the public eye. She shared her experiences with honesty, vulnerability, and emotional strength, showcasing a modern approach to relationships. Her story emphasizes that it is possible to navigate separation with dignity, respect, and personal growth.

Resonating With Many

Her openness resonates with many who have faced similar transitions in life. Dhanashree’s journey demonstrates that love, effort, and challenges are part of every relationship. By embracing self-awareness and respect, it is possible to move forward gracefully while maintaining emotional integrity.
