Anwar Calls for Enhanced Economic Diplomatic Efforts

Malaysian Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has called upon the nation’s diplomats to amplify their efforts in economic diplomacy, emphasizing the necessity of attracting high-quality investments to foster long-term growth. Anwar pointed out that diplomats now hold a crucial role in determining Malaysia’s economic trajectory through international collaboration and strategic interactions.

These comments were made during a meeting with 13 newly appointed Malaysian Heads of Diplomatic Missions set to embark on assignments in key global regions. The Prime Minister asserted that it's imperative for diplomats to transcend their conventional ceremonial roles and actively pursue avenues that enhance trade and investment opportunities for the country.

Anwar remarked that contemporary diplomacy demands a comprehensive understanding of global political landscapes, local cultural nuances, historical contexts, and prevailing international economic dynamics.
