Aldar and Ma’an Forge a Three-Year Partnership for Social Impact

Abu Dhabi, UAE – Aldar has established a strategic three-year collaboration with the Authority of Social Contribution – Ma’an, emphasizing its dedication to advancing Abu Dhabi’s social objectives. This partnership focuses on implementing impactful programs aimed at enhancing community resilience and overall well-being.

The signing ceremony featured His Excellency Mohamed Khalifa Al Mubarak, Chairman of Aldar, alongside His Excellency Dr. Mugheer Khamis Al Khaili, Chairman of the Department of Community Development. The agreement was ratified by Talal Al Dhiyebi, Group Chief Executive Officer of Aldar, and His Excellency Abdullah Humaid Al Ameri, Director General of Ma’an.

Key Initiatives Included in the Partnership:

• Blue Collar Activation Programme: Focused on enhancing job prospects for blue-collar workers.

• Thrive Scholarship Fund: A joint initiative with Ma’an to broaden support for students.

• Social Impact Fund: New initiative aimed at driving measurable social transformations.

• Employee Volunteering & In-Kind Contributions: Aldar staff will participate in community initiatives, while Darna, Aldar’s loyalty platform, will facilitate digital community engagement.

Talal Al Dhiyebi commented, “Social impact is integral to Aldar. Our partnership with Ma’an exemplifies the role of the private sector in crafting scalable solutions that align with the UAE’s social ambitions. We are dedicated to generating tangible benefits in education, employment, and community health.”

His Excellency Abdullah Humaid Al Ameri remarked, “This partnership with Ma’an will continue to direct efforts towards initiatives that address crucial social priorities, improving the quality of life for residents and fostering an inclusive society.”

Since 2020, Aldar and Ma’an’s cooperation has touched the lives of nearly 3,000 people across 11 programs in healthcare, education, infrastructure, and social welfare. This encompasses the region’s inaugural Social Impact Bonds, enhancing job opportunities for local talent and aiding families and People of Determination throughout Abu Dhabi.

This partnership showcases the importance of collaboration between the public and private sectors in promoting Abu Dhabi’s vision of a sustainable, inclusive, and socially accountable future. Together, Aldar and Ma’an aspire to innovate social contribution models that align with UAE objectives and the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
