In a significant event overseen by His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Al Dhafra Region hosted an Open Recruitment Day aimed at bridging Emirati job seekers with numerous career prospects.
Organised by the Ruler’s Representative Court alongside Mawaheb Talent Hub as part of the “Connecting You With Opportunities” initiative, the fair attracted participation from over 25 prominent employers across government, semi-government, and private sectors.
The recruitment event, held at Majlis Madinat Zayed, saw participation from more than 600 job seekers and offered over 250 positions in diverse fields.
Notable organisations involved included the Ministry of Education, Abu Dhabi Police, Department of Municipalities and Transport, and ADNOC, showcasing the breadth of opportunities available.
Officials highlighted that this initiative underscores the leadership's dedication to directly providing job opportunities for citizens within their communities, effectively dismantling geographical barriers.
His Excellency Nasser Mohammed Al Mansouri, Undersecretary of the Ruler’s Representative Court in Al Dhafra Region, emphasised the importance of creating accessible job opportunities to bolster national competitiveness, affirming that Emirati talent is instrumental in propelling sectors forward.
His Excellency Ibrahim Nassir, Undersecretary of the Department of Government Enablement (DGE), remarked on the initiative's role in shaping an AI-native government through the connection of Emirati talent with relevant job prospects, aiding Abu Dhabi’s digital transformation strategies.
Targeting decentralised hiring, the initiative ensures that Emirati job seekers in Abu Dhabi City, Al Ain, and Al Dhafra can seize employment opportunities without the necessity of relocation.
Since its initiation in 2023, Mawaheb Talent Hub has empowered over 10,000 Emiratis and facilitated 6,000 job placements across various sectors via partnerships with over 90 entities, aiming for impactful employment solutions.
This Open Recruitment Day exemplifies ongoing efforts focused on enhancing local employment frameworks while equipping national talent for future job market demands.
