Abu Dhabi – Celebrating a significant achievement, ADNOC Technical Academy (ATA) has announced the graduation of 403 UAE National technicians equipped with skills in artificial intelligence (AI) and robotics, a critical development in nurturing a highly skilled local workforce for the energy industry.
Completing a two-year vocational training program, the graduates focused on areas including electrical maintenance, instrumentation, mechanical maintenance, and processing operations. The innovative curriculum integrated practical training with cutting-edge technologies, effectively preparing students for high-level roles within ADNOC’s operations.
ATA has also adopted advanced AI systems like Neuron 5, which has achieved a 50% reduction in unplanned shutdowns. The trainees acquired hands-on experience with drones, robotics, and remotely operated vehicles for site inspections, infrastructure monitoring, and gas leak detection, aligning their technical skills with industry demands.
Since its inception in 1978, ATA has produced over 6,000 UAE Nationals, significantly enriching the country’s industrial and energy sectors. Ongoing partnerships with leading robotics firms aim to further elevate the training programs, ensuring graduates stay ahead in the evolving fields of automation and AI within the energy sector.
This latest cohort of graduates reinforces ADNOC's vision to become the most AI-driven energy company, highlighting the essential role of UAE talent in a rapidly advancing, technology-focused energy sphere.
