During the Milken Institute Global Conference, a premier gathering for policy and innovation leaders, His Excellency Mansoor Ibrahim Al Mansoori called on global companies and innovators to collaborate with Abu Dhabi in crafting next-generation healthcare solutions powered by artificial intelligence (AI).
In a session titled “Reimagining Healthcare, for Abu Dhabi and Beyond” with Diane Brady, Al Mansoori underscored the emirate's commitment to establishing a healthcare framework that prioritizes prevention, early diagnosis, and continuous health monitoring, moving away from conventional treatment methods.
He depicted Abu Dhabi as a pioneering hub for AI-driven healthcare advancements, bolstered by a comprehensive digital health system. He noted that AI is currently being leveraged to accelerate drug discovery by integrating diverse data points like genotype, phenotype, and information from wearable devices into a cohesive intelligent platform.
Al Mansoori stated that this system acts as a real-world evidence engine, enabling firms and healthcare providers to evaluate product efficacy and patient outcomes instantaneously.
He further emphasized the significance of predictive healthcare, advocating that future systems need to identify health issues promptly before they escalate into severe conditions. By synthesizing various medical data into one unified platform, Abu Dhabi empowers authorities to better oversee and manage the healthcare landscape.
In discussing the role of AI Agents within the emirate's Unified Medical Operations Command Centre (UMOC), Al Mansoori referred to UMOC as the “health brain” of Abu Dhabi's healthcare framework.
He mentioned that AI Agents have significantly enhanced operational effectiveness by facilitating real-time incident detection, accelerating emergency response, and initiating medical care even while patients are still being transported in ambulances. Additionally, the AI-driven infrastructure fosters an ongoing intelligence loop that fortifies healthcare planning and resilience.
Al Mansoori articulated that the long-term healthcare vision of Abu Dhabi hinges on economic diversification, technological investments, infrastructural growth, and enriching human capital. He expressed the goal of creating a healthcare paradigm that “cares before it cures,” granting individuals greater access to health data and preventive resources.
Furthermore, during the conference's sidelines, Al Mansoori engaged with international leaders in AI, biotechnology, genomics, pediatrics, longevity, and investment at a special dinner arranged under the Future Health – A Global Initiative by Abu Dhabi platform.
Conversations revolved around creating anticipatory healthcare systems, broadening access to predictive healthcare, and investigating innovative financing models aimed at enhancing global long-term health outcomes.
