Abu Dhabi, 5 November 2025 – The United Arab Emirates has welcomed the commencement of measures to implement the recently signed peace agreement between the Kingdom of Thailand and the Kingdom of Cambodia, reached in Kuala Lumpur.
The UAE underscored the significance of this step as an opportunity to reinforce security and stability across Southeast Asia, creating a platform for sustained dialogue, improved neighbourly relations, and the pursuit of shared prosperity and development for both countries.
In an official release, the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs acknowledged the diplomatic role played by US President Donald Trump in helping to establish favourable conditions for the accord. The statement also noted Malaysia’s key contribution in hosting and facilitating negotiations, alongside broader regional and international efforts to foster peace.
