UAE and Germany Collaborate on Regional Security Amidst Iranian Threats

H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, convened with Omid Nouripour, Vice-President of the German Bundestag, to explore critical regional and global issues.

Their discussions encompassed unfolding regional dynamics and the repercussions of Iranian missile strikes targeting the UAE and other states. The talks centered on how such provocations influence regional stability, international security, energy resources, as well as maritime safety and the global economy.

During these discussions, German officials expressed their unwavering solidarity with the UAE, endorsing all necessary steps to uphold the nation’s sovereignty, territorial integrity, and the safety of its citizens, residents, and visitors.

Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed conveyed his gratitude for the visit, highlighting its significance in reflecting the robust ties between the UAE and Germany, along with Germany's backing in the present circumstances.

The participants also reviewed the recent announcement by US President Donald Trump regarding a ceasefire with Iran, emphasizing the necessity for bolstering regional and international endeavors aimed at establishing enduring peace and stability.

The meeting additionally aimed at fortifying cooperation and partnerships spanning various sectors between the UAE and Germany.

Sheikh Abdullah underscored the crucial role parliaments play in fostering diplomatic and political solutions to crises and in promoting dialogue for achieving peace and sustainable development.

Lana Zaki Nusseibeh, Minister of State, also attended the meeting.
