Trump Bans Visas for Foreign Students Going to Harvard

US President Donald Trump announced a new rule that stops foreign students from getting visas to study at Harvard University. He made this decision on Wednesday as part of his effort to control who can come to the United States for education.

Trump said it is important to stop foreign students from coming to Harvard because he believes it is not safe for the country. He signed an executive order saying that allowing these students to study at Harvard could harm national security.

In his order, Trump explained that Harvard’s actions have made the school a bad place for foreign students and researchers. He said the university has not been cooperating properly with the government, which makes it unsafe to let these students come.

This order is part of a bigger disagreement between the White House and Harvard University. Recently, a court in Boston stopped the government from banning international students at Harvard. But this new order uses different rules to enforce the ban.

The problem began after the Department of Homeland Security asked Harvard for information about foreign students who may have done wrong things. The government said Harvard did not give enough information, even though the university said it did.

Last month, the US State Department told its embassies to check more carefully when giving visas to anyone planning to go to Harvard for any reason.

This new rule makes it harder for foreign students to study at one of America’s oldest and richest universities. It shows how the government is increasing its control over who can come to the US for education.
