Kamal Haasan Celebrates 71st Birthday with MK Stalin and Udhayanidhi

Post by : Mina Rahman

Veteran actor Kamal Haasan commemorated his 71st birthday with a heartfelt visit from Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin and Deputy Chief Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin. The two dignitaries arrived at Kamal's home, where they were joined by his elder brother, Charuhasan.

Sharing moments from the day on Instagram and X (formerly Twitter), Kamal highlighted the profound connection he shares with the Stalin family. He remarked, “Generally, children keep a respectful distance from their parents' friends. Yet, my bond with Muthamizharignar (M. Karunanidhi, former CM and MK Stalin’s father) is a testament to three generations of strong ties, characterized by limitless respect and grandeur.”

Visuals from the visit captured warm exchanges, including a painting gifted to Kamal by MK Stalin and Udhayanidhi as a birthday surprise. Both leaders took to their social media platforms to convey their birthday wishes to the iconic actor.

Ongoing Ventures and Future Plans

This year, Kamal Haasan featured in Mani Ratnam’s gangster drama Thug Life, alongside notable stars such as Silambarasan TR, Trisha Krishnan, Aishwarya Lekshmi, and Abhirami. While the film received mixed reviews, Kamal remains occupied with numerous projects.

He is currently in production for a new film starring superstar Rajinikanth, under his own banner Raaj Kamal Films International. Directed by Sundar C, this project is anticipated to commence filming shortly, with more details forthcoming.

Moreover, Kamal has been confirmed for Indian 3, directed by Shankar, although its future was cast into doubt following the mixed success of Indian 2. In September, it was also revealed that Kamal would star in a new film led by the action directing duo Anbariv.
