Thailand has entered a period of deep mourning following the death of Queen Sirikit, The Queen Mother, at the age of 93. The Royal Household Bureau confirmed that Queen Sirikit passed away on October 24, 2025, in a hospital in Bangkok after battling a severe blood infection since October 17. Despite ongoing medical care, her condition deteriorated, leading to her peaceful passing surrounded by family and medical staff.
