Strengthening UAE-Pakistan Relations: A Meeting in Dubai

Dubai, UAE:

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE, welcomed Pakistan's President Asif Ali Zardari at Za’abeel Palace in Dubai. The agenda revolved around enhancing bilateral relations and fostering collaboration in vital areas.

Attending the meeting were His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, along with His Highness Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, First Deputy Ruler of Dubai and Minister of Finance. Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum was also present.

The discussions centered on advancing economic, developmental, and strategic partnerships between the UAE and Pakistan. They exchanged insights on both regional and global matters, emphasizing the necessity for international stability, security, and sustainable growth.

Sheikh Mohammed reiterated the UAE’s dedication to reinforcing its strategic alliance with Pakistan, emphasizing both nations' historical ties. In turn, President Zardari commended Sheikh Mohammed for his pivotal role in enhancing bilateral relations, highlighting the importance of ongoing collaboration in the economic and development fields.

The meeting also included senior UAE officials, such as Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, and Sheikh Hasher bin Maktoum bin Juma Al Maktoum.

From Pakistan, participants included First Lady Aseefa Bhutto Zardari, Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari, Bakhtawar Bhutto-Zardari, Interior Minister Syed Mohsin Raza Naqvi, Advisor Asim Hussain, Ambassador Shafqat Ali Khan, and Brigadier Sajid Akbar.

Additionally, Sheikh Mohammed engaged with business leaders and governmental figures to discuss enhancing the business climate and strengthening public-private partnerships. He also congratulated top graduates from the Zayed II Military College and the Dubai Police Academy, underlining the importance of nurturing national talent for the nation’s future and security.
