UAE and Pakistan Leaders Engage in Economic Partnership Discussions

Abu Dhabi – His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, engaged in dialogue with Asif Ali Zardari, President of Pakistan, in Abu Dhabi aimed at fortifying the economic and investment landscape between the nations.

The discussions were held at Qasr Al Bahr, where Sheikh Mohamed warmly greeted President Zardari and acknowledged his dedication to advancing bilateral relations, which have been on a positive trajectory.

Both leaders examined the current status of the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) negotiations, sharing optimism that this agreement will lead to substantial enhancements in economic collaboration and trade between the UAE and Pakistan.

The talks included a review of regional and international affairs, with both leaders emphasizing the critical nature of dialogue and diplomacy in fostering peace and stability on a global scale.

Sheikh Mohamed pointed out Pakistan's significant role in the United Nations Security Council, highlighting the potential for increased collaboration on global security matters.

President Zardari reiterated the enduring friendship between the UAE and Pakistan, expressing eagerness to broaden economic alliances that yield mutual benefits for both nations.
