Sheikh Khaled Explores Art at Louvre Abu Dhabi

Post by : Bianca Suleiman

His Highness Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and the Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council, recently visited the seasonal art exhibitions hosted at Louvre Abu Dhabi. These showcases are held in collaboration with prestigious international entities such as France Muséums, Musée du Louvre (Paris), and Musée National Picasso-Paris.

During his visit, Sheikh Khaled examined an array of artworks that underscore significant historical and civilizational milestones. The exhibitions feature the evolution of applied arts, architecture, ornamentation, and calligraphy, along with the rise of modern art and various artistic styles through the ages.

Among the displayed pieces are works on loan from local, regional, and global cultural institutions, revealing a tapestry of artistic schools and creative practices from around the globe. These exhibitions aim to enhance the cultural landscape of the region while showcasing the interplay between global artistic influences and the rich cultural heritage of the Arab world.

These seasonal exhibitions are integral to Louvre Abu Dhabi’s objective of functioning as a worldwide platform for cultural dialogue, advocating for civilizational exchange, openness, and coexistence through art.
